It's a live
So yesterday, after searching around for a wrench, I popped my back tire off my frame and I headed off to the Bike Kitchen (a bicycle co-op somewhat near my apartment, they have all the tools and let you use them for free but a donation is appreciated). Once there I spent about an hour to an hour and a half truing my wheel. At first it was making large adjustments then after that seemed to do more damage then to help the situation I went through the whole wheel and started to make little adjustments. While I was truing my wheel a guy took some photos of me for one of his journalism projects which might also be used for some publicity stuff for the Bike Kitchen. After trying to true it as best as I could I stopped and took the tire off the stand. I found the bend in the tire and gave it a whack against the pavement which helped straighten out the wheel. I came home and put the tire back on and took it on a test ride. The first time I tried to ride it the back tire fell off and I ended up getting a crotch full of seat which wasn't pleasant. So I came back put the tire on again and re-checked it. Re-checked it again for my future children's sake and went on another ride. It rode beautifully. I just forgot that me and Ben had disabled my back breaks so the tire could spin. So still need to hook up my back breaks. I also took off the stupid water bottle holder which just annoyed me. On a side note I got the distinct impression that not everybody shows up to the bike kitchen to just fix there bikes or at least it was just that girl but she was nice.
